| The Gendered Mexican Immigration Project |
. This website has been constructed as a class project for Dr. Luz MarĂa Gordillo at Washington State University Vancouver to educate the public on the history of Mexican immigration to the United States and the legislation that has shaped and been shaped by it. The website brings an uncommon gendered perspective to immigration studies including the history of immigration to the Pacific Northwest. It includes real life interviews with immigrants that explain their stories and positions regarding the immigration situation in the United States. We provide links for immigrants’ rights organizations and public services for consultation by the community. Our main goal for this website is to provide a well-rounded approach that summarizes what we learned and experienced from our course on immigration and citizenship in the global economy at Washington State University Vancouver. |
